FAQs

Do you offer “Reiki?”

While Reiki is a healing technique based on therapists channeling energy into the client, I do not label the styles of massage I offer as “Reiki.” I do offer therapeutic touch and corrective massage with energy and prayer work incorporated where necessary or requested.

How long is a session?

Depending on the client and service, a session typically runs anywhere from 90-150 minutes. If able, please allow a margin of time after the session to “process” the work. We cover so much ground, thus you may feel tired, spacey, or even emotional. Carve out time for you.

What is “energy work?”

As humans, we carry energy in our bodies and also expend energy every day. During a massage session, different strokes are used to move the energy within or out of the client’s body. I aid this energetic movement during each appointment.

How often should I book sessions?

As mentioned, each session is different, just as each client has a unique set of needs. Generally, the first client session helps guide or direct the plan for future sessions and will likely determine how often a client may want to book sessions.

What can I expect?

Each new client session varies. I go over any questions, inquire about client ailments, issues, or discomfort in the body, and I share my process and techniques of therapeutic touch and energy work. This helps to set expectations for the upcoming session.

What are your COVID-19 protocols?

At this time, I am no longer requiring masks, though I am happy to wear one if requested. The massage table/equipment is sanitized and new linens are replaced between each client, as was protocol prior to C-19. If you are sick, running a fever, or do not feel well, please reschedule your appointment.
